XYOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of Shannon L. Potina and Richard A. Rovnak II, both of 763 Tudor Lane, Boardman, was solemnized during a ceremony Sept. 27 at St. Columba Cathedral.
The Rev. Thomas Donaghy, the bride's great-uncle, officiated.
The newlyweds were honored during a reception at the Byzantine Center at the Grove, then left for a honeymoon in Key West, Fla.
They live in Boardman.
Parents of the bride are James and Marianne Potina, 1922 Cloverbrook Drive, Mineral Ridge. The groom is a son of Marie Rovnak of Brookfield and Richard Rovnak of Youngstown.
Platinum and pearl-beaded straps detailed the bride's A-line gown of white satin.
Her sister, Stephanie Potina, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Erin and Katie May, the bride's cousins; Tecca DeNero Potina, her sister-in-law; Kim Nocera, the groom's cousin; Lisa Rovnak, his sister; and Dawn Campbell. They wore grape-colored dresses.
Robert Kidd performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Salvatore Lucente, Gene Page, John Mogulich, John Kopp, Paul Stein and the bride's brother, Dominic Potina. Ring bearer was Vincent Village, the groom's nephew.
Mrs. Rovnak is an executive assistant with the DeBartolo Corp. She attended Youngstown State University.
Mr. Rovnak is an apprentice with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 396 in Boardman.
