Kids Fall Fun Night, an alternative to Halloween and trick-or-treating, 6 p.m. Thursday, New Life Assembly of God, 2250 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland. The event will include carnival-style games and lots of free candy. There is no cost.
Halloween alternative with a Western theme, 7-8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Calvary Temple Worship Center, 1465 Sampson St., New Castle, Pa., for age 3 through grade six.
Halloween party outreach, 1-3 p.m. today for children ages 4 through 11, Bristolville United Methodist Church, intersection of state Routes 45 and 88, Bristol.
EVENTS
The senior choir will present a musical extravaganza 4 p.m. Nov. 9 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 827 Wilson Ave., Youngstown. Area choirs will participate.
Triduum for St. Jude Feast Day includes prayers at 7 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 North Lipkey Road, North Jackson. All Souls' Day events Saturday include Masses for the souls in purgatory, 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and noon. The Shrine will also auction donated events at 1 p.m. Sunday. Call (330) 538-3351.
World Community Day, 12:15-12:45 p.m. Nov. 7, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Penn Ave., Greenville, Pa. The Greenville Area Council of Church Women will host a presentation on Ethiopia by Henry and Donna Barton.
Westminster College will offer a diversity symposium as members of three denominations examine "The Church and Homosexuality: What's Happening With the Episcopalians, United Methodists and Presbyterians?" at 7 p.m. Thursday, McKelvey Campus Center Theater, New Wilmington, Pa. Speakers include: Dr. Ron Hollellein, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church; Connie Dunn, director of church education at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church; and Judie Compher, member of the Progressive Episcopalians of Pittsburgh.
