Donations nearly double
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University faculty and staff have given nearly twice as much to the university's Annual Fund so far this year as compared to last year. The fund-raising initiative has resulted in 170 gifts totaling $95,054, up from $48,679 in the first four weeks of the campaign last year. Donors to YSU's Annual Fund may designate their gift to the area of greatest need, or restrict their gift to the YSU Foundation's scholarship funds or to a specific college, department or program. The university will now do a direct-mail appeal to about 65,000 alumni and past donors and a telephone campaign that starts in January.
