We're devoted to shower curtains for a variety of reasons. Mostly because they function as an excellent barrier between water and floor. Also, if you change a shower curtain, it's like a whole bathroom makeover. A completely new room.
Shower curtains that are simple and basic, however, are worse than mildew. The bathroom -- perhaps a room you spend more time in than you think -- should be the zaniest one in the house.
It's simple. Remove old shower curtain. (Is it striped? Are there fake raindrops? Does it involve dolphins?) Next, select new one. There are maps (New York City Transit, Paris). And signs. Meditating animals. Screaming fans for that early morning boost. Monopoly shower curtains. And Seurat, the impressionist painter. How about a "favorite karaoke songs" shower curtain from Urban Outfitters, you know -- to help you pick that morning's tune.
