YOUNGSTOWN -- Howland native Jason Trapp has signed a letter of intent to continue his tennis career at Youngstown State University, men's tennis coach Eric Ronan announced yesterday.
Trapp, a No.2 singles and doubles player for Howland High School, helped Howland clinch a share of the MAC title this past season. He won the sectionals double title this season and last year made it to the state tournament in doubles play.
ALLIANCE -- IBA Heavyweight Champion Vonda Ward will be at the at the Carnation Mall in Alliance signing autographs and various sports memorabilia Sunday, June 1.
Ward is promoting her upcoming 10 Round Title fight at the Canton Civic Center on July 11 against Martha Salazar.
