LISBON -- Columbiana County had its lowest voter turnout in about a decade, said elections director John Payne.

The previous lowest turnout in the past 10 years was about 19 percent, Payne said.

WARREN -- The Trumbull County Board of Elections rejected 13 absentee ballots for Tuesday's election because they were not signed by the voters.
Two more ballots were rejected at a board meeting Tuesday because they were returned in a single, signed envelope.
Board members also voted to retain Ultimate Building Maintenance of Warren to clean board offices.
Ultimate submitted a sealed bid of $5,408 a year.
A Youngstown company, Imperial Service Systems, offered to clean for $5,280 a year, but board members did not consider it sufficient savings to switch.
