MICHELLE MCNALLYBRENDAN O'BRIEN
XMCLEAN, Va. -- Michelle Therese McNally of Washington, a daughter of John and Jeanne McNally, 44 Redfern Drive, Youngstown, and Brendan James O'Brien of Washington, a son of Jim and Peggy O'Brien of Seagirt, N.J., were united in marriage June 5 in McLean during an afternoon ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Carl Hemmer.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception held afterward at Chef Geoff's Restaurant in Washington.
They honeymooned at Chesapeake Bay and will live in Canberra, Australia.
The bride served as a Peace Corps volunteer from 2000 through 2002 in Guatemala. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in international relations and is pursuing a multicultural education degree at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
The groom is employed by the U.S. Department of State as a foreign service officer on the staff of the U.S. Ambassador to Australia. He graduated from St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., with a degree in English and Spanish, and was a Peace Corps volunteer from 1996 through 1998 in Paraguay.
A postnuptial celebration will take place during the summer of 2004 in Youngstown.
