OSU Extension plans camp for homemakers

WINDSOR -- Ohio State University Extension, Mahoning County, and 4-H Camp Whitewood are sponsoring a camp for homemakers Sunday through Tuesday at Camp Whitewood.
Cost is $83 and includes three days and two nights of lodging, six meals and programs of a fun and educational nature.
This year's theme will be "Celebrate the USA" and will feature a Mardi Gras-style celebration, a Hawaiian luau and hula contest and a celebration of the Ohio bicentennial. There also will be classes on the topics of parenting teens, quilting in an hour, campfire cooking, aromatherapy bath salts and financial planning.
The camp is located in southwestern Ashtabula County, and time will be available for hiking, boating, swimming, crafts, archery and riflery. Accommodations are for seven to 12 women per cabin, and modern restroom facilities are located near each cabin.
