XGuilford Lake Civic Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Guilford Lake Ruritan Pavilion, state Route 172. The public is welcome. XParents of Performing Arts will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the senior citizens room at the post office building in McDonald.
XThat Quilt Group I Belong Too will meet Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. Doors will open at noon, and all members are asked to attend and work on the mini quilt project. There will be a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. for which members are asked to take a covered dish or dessert and their own table service. A meeting will convene at 7 p.m. for installation of officers and a show-and-tell. Members are asked to pick up their raffle quilt tickets. Guests are welcome.
FRATERNAL GROUPS

XGirard Men's Democrat Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Girard Masonic Temple, 34 S. State St.
XMahoning County Republican Women will meet for the annual picnic at noon Tuesday at the Republican headquarters in Boardman. There will be a boxed lunch, and reservations must be made by Sunday by calling (330) 799-9565 or (330) 799-6883. There also will be a 50-50 drawing, games and prizes. No meetings are scheduled for July or August. The next regular meeting will be at noon Sept. 23 at Denny's in Austintown.
XStruthers Federated Democratic Women will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the home of Dorothy McLaughlin for the annual casserole picnic. Election of officers will be held, and board games will be played. New members are welcome.
