CANFIELD -- Mahoning County Farm Bureau is accepting applications for two "Down on the Farm" agriculture camps for kids; Ag camp, to be July 28-30, and pizza camp, Aug. 1.
Both events will be at the Mill Creek Metroparks Educational Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road.
Children who have completed first through third grades can participate in Ag camp, a day camp from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per child. Lunch is provided and there will be games, songs, movies and hands-on activities as children discover what comes from "down on the farm."
At pizza camp, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., children who have completed fourth through sixth grades will unravel the mystery of the missing pizza recipe.
They will search for clues around the farm to find the pizza ingredients, then finish the day with a pizza picnic. Cost is $15.
