SOCCER Area players help Titans win PAC title

NEW WILMINGTON -- Four Youngstown-area players were members of the Westminster College soccer team that won the Presidents' Athletic Conference championship this past season under coach Girish Thakar.
Chris Castillo, Rick Walker, Scott Depasquale and Pasquale Reino helped the Titans to a 16-4-2 record, including 10-0 in the PAC.
Depasquale, junior midfielder from Howland High, started 13 games with one goal and one assist for three points.
Reino, a senior midfielder from Neshannock, started 10 games and registered one goal and two assists for four points, winning his fourth letter.
Castillo, sophomore defender from Austintown Fitch, had one start and scored one goal.
Rick Walker, sophomore goalkeeper from Cardinal Mooney, had one start and scored one goal.
Westminster placed five players on the All-PAC team.
Making the first team were senior defender B.J. Mathieu, sophomore midfielder John Booth, and junior forward Matthew Roser.
On the second team were senior midfielder Tony Arrigo and junior forward Todd Fisher.
Booth led Westminster in scoring with 30 points on a team-best 12 goals and six assists.
