XAUSTINTOWN -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Dominic DeMaiolo, 5124 Norquest Blvd., was celebrated during a surprise party held in their honor at 4 p.m. July 6 at Little Peppino's Banquet Center.
Arrangements for the event were made by their family, Jerry and Carolyn DeMaiolo and Bob and Sharon Agler, all of Austintown. Also participating were their five grandchildren.
The couple were married July 4, 1953, at the old St. Ann's Church on Federal Street in Youngstown. They are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Mrs. DeMaiolo, the former Arlene Dublino, is a homemaker. After serving as a chef in the U.S. Army, Mr. DeMaiolo was employed by Republic Steel until retiring. He is now the owner/operator of DeMaiolo's Concessions.
