YOUNGSTOWN -- Nancy Walega, administrative assistant for the Mahoning County Engineer's Office, has been installed as vice president of the County Commissioners' Clerks and Engineers' Secretaries Association of Ohio. Walega has been employed by Mahoning County for 14 years.
WARREN -- Eric Thompson, an owner of Satolli Carpet & amp; Floor Covering in downtown Warren, has completed requirements for certification from the Carpet Cushion Council's Cushion Certification Program. Thompson, of Newton Falls, took ownership of the 35-year-old business in 1993 with his partner Nick Schuller.
HOWLAND -- The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & amp; Suites Youngstown North in Howland has received the Six Continents Hotels Torchbearer Award, an award the company gives to recognize quality service. Jennifer McHale, general manager, accepted the award at a recent conference in San Diego, Calif. Only 62 of the chain's 3,300 hotels were given the award.
YOUNGSTOWN -- A division of Callos Companies, 4TechWork Division in Akron, has been listed as the 11th fastest-growing company in Northeast Ohio by the Weatherhead 100, a compilation of the 100 fastest growing companies in the region based on revenue growth from 1997 to 2001. The division reported 5-year revenue growth of 485 percent and was one of six information technology services companies included in the Weatherhead list.
