XCOLUMBIANA -- Mr. and Mrs. Dale Sitler, 158 N. Middle St., will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 17.
The former Miriam Crouse and Mr. Sitler exchanged marriage vows on that day in 1953 at Mount Olivet United Church of Christ in North Lima.
The Sitlers and their family spent a week last June at Emerald Isle, N.C., to celebrate the occasion. Their children and spouses are Stanley and June Sitler of Nashville, Tenn.; Gary Sitler, Okeechobee, Fla.; Scot and Sylvia Sitler of Huntsburg; and Amy and Timothy Jensen of Cary, N.C. The family also includes seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Sitler owned and operated Sitlers' Hobby and Cycle Shop. They are members of Grace United Church of Christ.
Mr. Sitler served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
