Summary of recent police activity in Boardman and Poland:
BOARDMAN
Dec. 30
Criminal damage: A woman in the 7800 block of Walnut Street reported that someone knocked over and damaged various Christmas decorations in her front yard.
Attempted assault: A man in the 1800 block of Basil Avenue reported that a 30-year-old woman tried to assault him.
Criminal damage: A lighted sled and deer and a lighted Santa Claus decoration were damaged at a residence in the 7100 block of Amberwood Trail.
Fraud: A Robinhood Way woman reported that her personal information was used over the Internet to set up several fraudulent credit-card accounts.
Domestic violence: Police arrested two Boardman males, ages 16 and 44, on domestic-violence charges after the 16-year-old alleged that his father left several marks on his neck during a fight.
Thefts: A 13-year-old Youngstown boy was arrested on a theft charge after five compact discs were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive. Also, a 13-year-old Youngstown girl was charged with theft after three tubes of lip gloss were stolen.
Threats: An employee at T-Mobile, 457 Boardman-Poland Road, and an employee at Sears in the Southern Park Mall reported various threats made against them.
Warrant: Police arrested a 38-year-old Boardman man on a charge of violating a protection order. He also was wanted on a warrant from Portage County charging him with failure to appear in court.
Arrest: A 42-year-old Niles man was charged with stalking and burglary after a Beechwood Drive woman alleged he tried to break into her residence.
Dec. 31
Criminal damage: Someone shattered a vehicle's rear window at Taylor Oldsmobile-Kia of Boardman, 8250 Market St.
Theft: Police arrested a 15-year-old Union City, N.J., boy on a theft charge after a pair of tennis shoes was stolen from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damage: Someone placed a dent in a vehicle's driver's-side rear door while it was parked in the 6500 block of Lockwood Boulevard.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 24-year-old Boardman woman and charged her with domestic violence after a family member alleged she assaulted him.
Domestic violence: A 31-year-old Poland man was charged with domestic violence after his wife alleged he threatened to kill her.
Arrests: Police arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown man and a 30-year-old Campbell woman after a Greenville, Pa., woman reported that her purse had been stolen and her debit card used to make numerous unauthorized purchases. The two were each charged with receiving stolen property, theft, misuse of a credit card and complicity to theft.
Jan. 1
Arrest: A 39-year-old Youngstown man was charged with violating a protection order.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 43-year-old Boardman woman and a 46-year-old Boardman man on domestic-violence charges after each reported being assaulted by the other.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's rear window was broken in the 80 block of Stanton Avenue.
Theft: Four pieces of women's clothing were stolen from Dot's Inc., 255 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's windshield was broken in the 100 block of Beechwood Avenue.
Criminal damage: Someone shot a hole in a vehicle's passenger-side roof while it was parked in the 4300 block of Chester Drive.
Theft: Two Youngstown teens, ages 16 and 18, were arrested on a theft charge after eight clothing items were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Warrant: Police arrested a 36-year-old Boardman man on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 5200 block of Sheridan Road and stole four credit cards and a jewelry box.
Arrest: Police arrested an 18-year-old Youngstown man at Hollywood Video, 6731 South Ave., and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon.
Jan. 2
Bad checks: Two checks totaling $295 were written at Cochran Sparkle Market, 4121 South Ave., but were drawn from a closed account.
Assault: A Wal-Mart employee reported being assaulted while working, and the victim had two bruises on her right arm.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 600 block of Oakridge Drive discovered that someone dumped numerous bagels on her front porch.
Theft: A 3-foot-tall lawn ornament was removed from a set of stairs at an apartment building in the 7100 block of Locust Lane.
Theft: A weapon was missing from a residence in the 1200 block of Red Tail Hawk Drive.
Theft: An employee at Gateway Country, 377 Boardman-Poland Road, reported two cameras missing from the company's inventory list.
Warrant: Police arrested a 41-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Auto theft: A 1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 was stolen while parked at BW-3 in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A Poland woman reported a 2.29-carat diamond and an 18-karat gold band stolen at Club South Health & amp; Fitness Center, 7120 Tiffany Blvd.
Assault: An employee at Gateways to Better Living, 4665 South Ave., accused a co-worker of assaulting her.
Jan. 3
Theft: A garage-door opener was removed from a pickup truck in the 500 block of Presidential Drive.
Warrant: Police arrested a 20-year-old Salem woman on one count of failure to appear in court to face a traffic charge.
Stolen check: An employee at Farmer's National Bank, 102 W. Western Reserve Road, alleged that two Struthers men attempted to cash a stolen and forged check. One man, age 21, was charged with receiving stolen property; the other, 44, faced charges of receiving stolen property, passing a bad check and forgery.
Theft: Police arrested a 14-year-old New Castle, Pa., boy and a 16-year-old Youngstown girl on a theft charge after miscellaneous electronic equipment, CDs and men's undergarments were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Criminal damage: Someone used a key to cause $500 worth of damage to a pickup truck's paint while it was parked at BW-3.
Theft: A package containing various Christmas gifts was removed from the front porch of a residence in the 400 block of Garden Valley Drive.
Burglary: A man in the 1900 block of Palo Verde Drive called police after discovering that his residence had been burglarized.
Assault: A Poland woman reported being assaulted while she attended a New Year's Eve party.
Stolen checks: A woman in the 7600 block of Hitchcock Road discovered a book of personal checks missing and reported that several were fraudulently cashed at various Giant Eagle supermarkets.
Assault: A Youngstown man reported being assaulted at a residence in the 7400 block of Eagle Trace.
Arrest: A 51-year-old Poland man was charged with child endangering and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Arrest: Police arrested a 35-year-old Youngstown man on one count each of probation violation and possession of drugs.
Domestic violence: A 35-year-old Boardman man was arrested in the 5200 block of Tippecanoe Road after his wife reported being the victim of domestic violence.
Theft: Police arrested a 14-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy and two women, ages 18 and 20, all of Youngstown, on theft charges after miscellaneous items were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Jan. 4
Criminal damage: A woman in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue reported that a man damaged the lock and frame to her apartment's front door.
Criminal damage: A golf video-game cabinet was damaged when two people got into a fight at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A woman in the 5600 block of Lockwood Boulevard alleged that a 27-year-old man stole her purse, which contained $80 and a credit card.
Criminal damage: A man in the 6300 block of South Avenue reported that his apartment was struck by several BB gun pellets.
Arrest: After investigating a call to an apartment in the 1500 block of Chelsea Court, police arrested a 20-year-old Boardman man on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after finding a suspected marijuana device in the living room.
Domestic violence: A 46-year-old Boardman man was charged with domestic violence after allegations from his wife.
Theft: Police arrested a 12-year-old Youngstown boy on a theft charge after an employee at Target department store, 417 Boardman-Poland Road, alleged he stole a watch.
Jan. 5
Criminal damage: The driver's-side door lock of a vehicle parked in the 7300 block of West Boulevard was damaged.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged a vehicle's windshield-wiper arm while the car was in the Movies 8 parking lot, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A 52-year-old Lowellville woman was arrested on a theft charge after three cartons and two packs of cigarettes were stolen from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Fifteen gallons of gasoline and two cartons of cigarettes were stolen from Rich gas station, 5823 South Ave.
Threats: A Carter Circle woman alleged that a 35-year-old man threatened her several times over the phone.

Jan. 1
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near Mathews Road and North Main Street, police arrested a 45-year-old Poland woman on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
