AUSTIN, Texas -- Brandon Mouton hit five 3-pointers in the first half to spark No. 3 Texas to a 77-65 victory Monday night over Texas Tech, which played without suspended guard Andre Emmett, the Big 12's leading scorer.
Tech coach Bob Knight suspended Emmett, who averages 21.5 points a game, and forward Nick Valdez after the two missed the team's morning walkthrough. The suspensions were announced about 40 minutes before tipoff.
Mouton finished with 21 points on 6-of-8 shooting from 3-point range as Texas (18-4, 9-2) stayed undefeated in 12 home games this season.
T.J. Ford added 15 points and seven assists as Texas won for the 12th straight time over the Red Raiders (14-8, 4-7).
Robert Tomaszek scored 14 for Texas Tech, which has lost three of its last four.
No. 7 Florida 77, New Orleans 48
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida's Matt Bonner matched the entire New Orleans team score for score over the first 30 minutes, finishing with 24 points.
Bonner, a senior, fell seven points shy of his career high. Florida (21-4) matched a program record with its 18th straight home win.
The Privateers (13-11) were outmatched from the start, falling behind 20-3 after seven minutes.
No. 13 Maryland 90,No. 10 Wake Forest 67
COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Steve Blake had 21 points and nine assists, and Drew Nicholas scored 19 as Maryland handed Wake Forest its most lopsided loss of the season in a game delayed by a day because of a blizzard.
Ryan Randle had 13 points and 13 rebounds for Maryland (16-6, 8-3), which wrestled away the top spot in the ACC from Wake Forest (17-4, 7-3) while avenging an 81-72 defeat last month.
The defending NCAA champions have won seven of eight overall against the Demon Deacons and five straight at home.
Josh Howard scored 20 points for Wake Forest, which cut a 17-point deficit to six in the second half. But the Demon Deacons made only one basket in the final 10 minutes.
No. 23 Utah 86, UNLV 80, OT
SALT LAKE CITY -- Tim Frost scored 22 points and converted a pair of three-point plays in overtime as Utah won its Mountain West-record eighth straight conference game.
Frost scored the first basket of overtime and was fouled, adding a free throw. He converted another three-point play and Tim Drisdom added a long 3-pointer to make it 76-70 with 2:34 remaining.
Drisdom, who scored a career-high 17, was 4-for-4 from the field and 6-of-6 at the line as the Utes (20-4, 8-1) sank eight free throws in a row in the last minute to seal the victory.
Marcus Banks scored 30 points and Dalron Johnson added 20 for the Rebels (15-8, 4-5).
Women
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Alana Beard and Sheana Mosch scored 14 points each as No. 2 Duke beat Wake Forest 83-41, winning its 36th straight conference game.
The Blue Devils (24-1, 12-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) had 18 steals and forced 24 turnovers, setting up a meeting with No. 6 North Carolina on Thursday for first place.
Tiffani Listenbee had 17 points to lead the Demon Deacons (11-12, 2-11), who shot 35 percent. They have lost 10 of 11.
