Summary of police activity:
LIBERTY
Feb. 7
Auto theft: A 1988 Oldsmobile 98 was stolen from a residence in the 3000 block of Hadley Avenue.
Identity theft: A woman in the 1000 block of Academy Drive alleged that her daughter used the victim's identity to fraudulently obtain merchandise and/or credit.
Theft, criminal damage: Someone stole a CD player from a vehicle and damaged its dashboard while the car was in the 40 block of Trumbull Court.
Criminal damage: A vehicle had one of its door locks damaged while it was parked in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive.
Arrests: After running a registration check on a vehicle and stopping it, police arrested a 47-year-old Warren man after discovering he was under license suspension and was wanted on a probation violation charge. A 37-year-old Warren woman was issued a summons for possession of drug-abuse instruments after police say they found nine syringes and a spoon with residue in the car.
Feb. 9
Theft by deception: A Youngstown man reported that a man and a woman tricked him into giving them $190 while he was in the 3400 block of Belmont Avenue.
Burglary: Someone forced open the front door to a residence in the 4600 block of Michigan Boulevard and stole two jewelry boxes, a $3,000 pair of diamond earrings and $150 in currency.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 3400 block of Ohio Trail through a side window and removed 150 model freight cars, 20 model train engines and $750 in currency.
Arrest: After a woman in the 3000 block of Northgate Avenue called 911 to report a barefoot intruder at her residence, a 26-year-old Pittsburgh man was arrested and cited on a criminal trespass charge. Also, two residents reported finding the man in their vehicles, and an employee of Forum Health Northside Hospital determined that he walked away from an emergency room.
Feb. 10
Theft: A man stole 10 cans of coffee from a BP gas station, 2703 Belmont Ave.
