NHL ROUNDUP Monday's other games

Penguins 1, Blackhawks 0
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Penguins, the NHL's worst defensive team, relied on Sebastien Caron's strong goaltending and Tomas Surovy's goal. Caron followed up rookie goalie Marc-Andre Fleury's shutout in Chicago on Oct. 30 by stopping 31 shots in his first shutout since Jan. 21 against Buffalo. A night after beating Detroit 3-0 at home, the Blackhawks returned to their low-scoring ways. They are 0-11-0-1 in their last 12 road games, scoring more than two goals only once while being shut out three times.
Blues 3, Blue Jackets 2
COLUMBUS -- Ryan Johnson scored the game-winner with 3:44 left and Doug Weight added a goal and an assist to lead the Blues past the Blue Jackets. Johnson benefited from a giveaway by Columbus' Rick Nash, the NHL's leading goal scorer with 23 goals. Nash passed from the half boards in his own end to the middle of the ice and Johnson intercepted it. Johnson's shot was a hard one from the left dot that beat Marc Denis high on the glove side and allowed the Blues to end a four-game winless skid (0-2-2).
Hurricanes 2, Sabres 1
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Ron Francis tied for fourth on the NHL's all-time points list with a goal and the Carolina Hurricanes finally solved Buffalo's Mika Noronen, beating the Sabres 2-1 Monday night. Carolina improved to 4-2 under new coach Peter Laviolette.
Islanders 3, Devils 1
UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Mark Parrish scored two goals in New York' victory over New Jersey. The Islanders won their fifth straight overall, their seventh consecutive at home, and their third in a row over the Stanley Cup champion Devils.
Mighty Ducks 2, Lightning 0
TAMPA, Fla. -- Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 31 saves, and Anaheim snapped its 13-game road winless streak (0-8-2-3). Niclas Havelid and Petr Sykora put the Mighty Ducks ahead with late second-period goals.

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Owen Nolan scored two third-period goals to help Toronto rally to a tie with Florida. Darcy Tucker and Nik Antropov also scored for Toronto.
Canadiens 2, Thrashers 1
ATLANTA -- Jose Theodore made 28 saves to lift Montreal past Atlanta. Atlanta survived a scare when Ilya Kovalchuk was helped off the ice with an injury late in the first period, but he returned shortly after. Theodore denied two scoring chances by Kovalchuk, one by J.P. Vigier and one by Shawn McEachern in the final five minutes of the game.
Stars 2, Flyers 2
DALLAS -- Pierre Turgeon scored a power-play goal with 16:42 left in regulation and Dallas rallied from a two-goal deficit for a tie with Philadelphia. Sergei Zubov added a power-play goal in the second period and Marty Turco had 26 saves for the Stars.
Canucks 3, Avalanche 2
