'Pet Story' from area
Scenes that were filmed earlier this year in Youngstown and North Lima will be shown to the nation when "A Pet Story" is shown at 3:30 p.m. Monday and at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on Animal Planet cable TV channel. The focus is on two birds, Moss and Ouija. Their owners are participants in K-9s for Compassion, a volunteer group that loans its pets for animal-assisted activity and therapy. K-9s for Compassion includes dogs, cats and a rabbit. Scenes will include a re-enactment of a K-9s testing session at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and dogs and their handlers visiting with residents of Assumption Village.
