$1,000 go-cart stolen
AUSTINTOWN -- Police are investigating a report that someone stole a $1,000 go-cart last week from Wal-Mart on Mahoning Avenue.
A Wal-Mart representative called police over the weekend and said a man and a woman wrote a check to buy the go-cart the morning of Dec. 22.
They later told a store employee that they decided not to buy the go-cart, and the employee canceled the sale, reports state.
The man and the woman still had the receipt for the sale, however. Later that day, someone used the receipt to pick up the go-cart from the store, the Wal-Mart representative said.

Police said Saadey was driving the van at 40 mph in a 25-mph zone at about 2 a.m. Saturday on Herbert Road near Saw Mill Run Road.
The van wove into the wrong lane and was stopped by police near South Turner Road, reports state.
Police said Saadey told them he had a few drinks at a bar. He had a 0.156 blood-alcohol level, reports state. The legal limit in Ohio is 0.08.

Police also found a machete between the driver's seat and door.
