"Lunch & amp; Learn at the Library: The Schoolmaster of the Nation." Richard S. Scarsella, president, William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society of Youngstown, will present an overview of McGuffey's legacy, with topics including: McGuffey's roots in the Mahoning Valley, his contributions to national literacy and nation-building, selections from the Eclectic Readers, preservation of the McGuffey homestead, and information on the society at Main, noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 13.
