LIBERTY
Dec. 16
Drugs: Police arrested a 31-year-old Highland Park, Mich., man in the 40 block of Trumbull Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and failure to appear in court on a drug abuse charge. Officers say they found suspected marijuana in a toolbox, and that the man provided false information about his identity.
Theft: A Beverly Hills Drive man reported giving a man $450 to buy two subwoofers. The man, however, failed to provide the items.
Criminal damage: Someone shot a hole through a front window at a residence in the 100 block of Warner Road.
Dec. 17
Theft: A man removed two DVD players from Big Lots, 3491 Belmont Ave.
Arrest: After investigating a suspicious person at Long John Silver's, 3560 Belmont Ave., police arrested a 47-year-old Youngstown man at a McDonald's restaurant, 3630 Belmont Ave. They charged him with criminal trespass and held him on a warrant for prior charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
Theft: A woman reported a $100 train Christmas decoration removed from a side yard at her residence in the 1600 block of Harding Avenue.
Assault: A woman alleged a boy, 17, threw her onto a bed and smacked her in her room at a motel, 1600 Motor Inn Drive.
Counterfeit: A woman in her 50s reportedly passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave.
Dec. 19
Unauthorized use of a vehicle/truck theft: An employee at Aim Nationalease, 1500 Trumbull Ave., reported that after he entered into a lease agreement, a man leased three trucks from the company for which he failed to provide payment. Two vehicles were unaccounted for.
Dec. 20
Criminal mischief: An employee at Church Hill Park on Belmont Avenue reported someone flipped over several picnic tables.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported her wallet was removed from her purse while she was at Choice's nightclub, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.
Arrest: Police arrested a 24-year-old Youngstown woman at the Mahoning County jail on charges of failure to appear in court and theft.
Dec. 22
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A woman in the 5000 block of Sampson Drive said she bought a vehicle in October from a woman in her 50s, and that the woman, after using the vehicle, failed to give it back.
Theft: A Hubbard woman reported finding $7 and a credit card missing from her purse after she left a residence in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road.
Arrest: After a traffic stop near Trumbull and Belmont avenues, police charged a 24-year-old Hartford man with failure to appear in court.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near state Route 193 and Interstate 80, police arrested two Warren girls, 16 and 17, and two Cortland girls, 15 and 16. Charges included underage possession of alcohol, underage consumption of alcohol and curfew violations. Officers said they found beer in their car.

Dec. 21
Drugs: After conducting a traffic stop on North State Street, police arrested a Girard man on charges of driving under the influence, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers say they found a glass pipe with suspected marijuana and a film canister with suspected marijuana residue during a vehicle search.
Criminal damage: Someone poured a gluelike substance into several door locks and damaged them at the Wonder Bar, 100 W. Liberty St.
Dec. 22
Arrest: Police arrested a man in the 300 block of Trumbull Avenue on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
Dec. 23
Vandalism: A woman discovered her vehicle's passenger-side tires slashed near her home in the 100 block of Church Hill Road.
Arrest: After a Cheyenne Drive woman reported her former boyfriend came to her residence without permission, police arrested a Washington Avenue man on a warrant charging him with disorderly conduct.
