Dec. 15
Identity theft: A Canfield man reported his identity was fraudulently used during an October traffic stop on Market Street.
Criminal damage, theft: A woman in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road reported her car broken into, and a $250 in-dash compact-disc player and five CDs stolen.
Credit-card fraud: A Youngstown woman reported five credit cards stolen, and that $12,431 worth of fraudulent charges was placed on them at various Boardman businesses.
Theft, criminal damage: A man in the 50 block of Shields Road reported his vehicle's door lock and a headlight damaged. A $200 in-dash CD player was removed.
Theft: An employee at Dollar General, 5953 South Ave., said a co-worker left without paying for $50.29 worth of toys and houseware items.
Burglary: A woman reported her residence in the 100 block of Redwood Trail broken into, and a $214 Sony PlayStation 2 game system taken.
Arrest: A 37-year-old Canfield woman was arrested at Rockne's Pub, 1497 Boardman-Canfield Road, on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and failure to desist.
Theft: Police arrested a 26-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after a box of cigarettes was stolen from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Robbery: An employee at Radio Shack, 7131 Tiffany Blvd., reported a co-worker was injured after he tried to stop two teenage boys from stealing a $100 wireless video observation system. The victim had a cut on top of his head.
Theft: A Lisbon boy, 16, was charged with theft and possession of criminal tools after a Gameboy Advance game system and a $20 stainless-steel knife set were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft, criminal damage: A man reported his vehicle's passenger-side window damaged in the 1800 block of Boardman-Poland Road. A $200 purse, five gift certificates and three gift cards were stolen from the car.
Theft: A Jerome, Idaho, woman reported someone placed a $100 unauthorized charge on her credit card while she stayed at the Travelers Inn, 6110 Market St.
Domestic violence: A 36-year-old Boardman man was arrested in Austintown on a domestic-violence charge after a Tippecanoe Road woman reported being a victim.

Arrest: A 35-year-old Struthers man was arrested in Struthers on a warrant charging him with two counts of criminal simulation after an employee at Cellular One, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported someone attempted to pass two counterfeit $50 bills.
Theft: An employee at Gino's Drive Thru South, 7631 South Ave., reported the business was the victim of employee theft that took place over a seven-day period.
Theft: An employee at Wendy's, 433 Boardman-Poland Road, said a $3,416 deposit was missing.
Theft: Police arrested a 70-year-old Salem woman on charges of theft and possessing criminal tools after a theft at Dillard's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: An employee at Petland, 7338 Market St., discovered five dogs, worth a total of $9,489, missing from the business.
Theft: A man in the 700 block of Presidential Drive reported his passport stolen from his residence.
Domestic violence: A 57-year-old Youngstown man was arrested in the 400 block of Boardman-Poland Road on a charge of domestic violence.
Theft: A Girard man reported lending a $350 gun to someone, and that the person sold the item to a pawn shop without permission.
Theft: A woman in the 8500 block of Glenwood Avenue reported six pieces of mail stolen from her home.
Robbery: An employee at Family Video, 5205 Market St., reported someone punched him in the face after a theft at the business.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 4000 block of Riverside Drive and removed a 27-inch TV, a DVD player, two portable CD players and an electronic item.
Arrest: A 29-year-old Brook Park, Ohio, man was arrested in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road on charges of drug abuse and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 32, was arrested near Glenwood Avenue and Ewing Road and charged with failure to appear in court to face a charge of driving under suspension.

Recovered property: Police recovered a 1987 Dodge Raider stolen from U-Go Auto Sales, 4311 Market St. The vehicle was found destroyed and abandoned in a wooded area near Devonshire Drive.
Arrests: Police arrested two 18-year-old Boardman men after a Redwood Trail woman reported her residence broken into and a Sony PlayStation 2 game system stolen. One man was charged with burglary and the other man was charged with receiving stolen property.
Arrest: An Aravesta Avenue man, 37, was arrested at his home on charges of failure to comply with the orders of a police officer, driving under suspension and having a fictitious registration.
Theft, criminal damage: A woman in the 50 block of Lemans Drive discovered her vehicle's passenger-side door lock, dashboard and stereo mounting area damaged. A wallet and a $150 CD player were stolen.
Theft, criminal damage: A Youngstown woman found a padlock missing from a storage unit she rented at U-Store It Self-Storage, 7990 Southern Blvd., and discovered two black coats, six fur vests, a portable CD/tape player and four comforters missing from inside.
Theft: A man in his 40s reportedly stole two cartons of cigarettes from Cigarette World, 110 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damage, theft: Someone broke into a vehicle and removed a CD player and 100 CDs, in the 100 block of Lemans Drive, after damaging the car's dashboard and door lock.
Counterfeit: An employee at Home Savings, 4005 Hillman Way, said a man in his 30s presented a $55,000 counterfeit check.
Robbery: A woman in the 800 block of Moyer Avenue alleged a man in his mid- to late 30s robbed her in a nearby carport and took numerous keys.
Theft: Police charged a 14-year-old North Lima girl with theft and receiving stolen property after four boxes of cologne were stolen from Hollister in the Southern Park Mall. Officers said they found miscellaneous stolen jewelry and clothing in her possession.
Auto theft: A 1994 Buick LeSabre was stolen from the Gabriel Bros. parking lot, 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Recovered property: A 1999 Dodge Stratus was recovered after being stolen from the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police arrested a 17-year-old Austintown girl on a theft charge after a candle, a man's sweater and a three-piece fleece set were stolen from Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrests: Police arrested three Youngstown women, two age 26 and one age 24, at the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. One was charged with theft, receiving stolen property and possessing criminal tools after a coat, a V-tech phone, a glove and hat set and two pairs of gloves were stolen from the store. Another woman was charged with passing bad checks; the third woman was arrested on a warrant charging her with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft: A woman in the 4000 block of Stratmore Avenue reported an AM-FM/CD player and a flip-down TV stolen from her vehicle.

Criminal damage: A Cover Drive woman discovered an 85-foot-long groove in her lawn, likely caused by a vehicle.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 30 block of Crestline Drive reported a plastic reindeer and an electric reindeer lawn ornament damaged.
Theft: An employee at Wendy's, 8541 South Ave., discovered $2,501 missing from the business.
Theft: Police arrested a 29-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of theft by deception after a man alleged the suspect stole a bicycle seat and a pair of undergarments from Wal-Mart and tried to return them for money.
Theft: A woman in the 7400 block of Ranier Trail reported $70 missing from her home.
Auto theft: A 2002 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen from Youngstown Buick Pontiac GMC Truck, 7997 Market St.
Theft, credit-card fraud: An employee at Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road, reported four Gameboy Advance systems and two Gameboy games were purchased with a stolen credit card.
Auto theft: A 1995 Plymouth Minivan was stolen from the InfoCision parking lot, 6951 Southern Blvd.
Theft: A man reported two bottles of prescription medications stolen from his mailbox in the 8500 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Arrest: A Campbell man, 18, was arrested in Campbell on a warrant charging him with domestic violence and violation of a court order. A Sierra Madre Trail woman said he violated a protection order by calling and threatening to harm her.
Arrest: A 23-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested near Hudson Drive and Overhill Road on charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Arrests: A Boardman man, 29, and a Girard man, 35, were arrested at Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road, on charges of receiving stolen property after two pairs of shoes were stolen, and a man alleged they returned the stolen shoes under false pretenses. One of the suspects also was charged with obstructing official business.

Stolen check: An employee at Home Savings, 7525 Market St., said a man, 25, presented and tried to cash an $800 stolen check.
Theft: A man in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court reported an $80 24-inch mountain bike stolen from a carport.
Arrest: After investigating a claim that his former girlfriend tried to break into his Schenley Avenue apartment, police arrested a 34-year-old man on a warrant charging him with aggravated menacing and domestic violence.
Burglary: A man in the 200 block of Charles Avenue alleged a man, 18, broke into his residence and took a Nintendo 64 game system, a set of jacks, a power cable, a set of controllers and a memory card.
Assault: A Mathews Road woman reported her son was assaulted while the boy rode on a school bus.
Theft: Police arrested a woman, 21, and a girl, 16, both from Youngstown, on theft charges after a CD was stolen from Wal-Mart.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported someone made 11 unauthorized purchases, totaling $329.55, on her credit/debit card.
Arrest: An 18-year-old Poland man was arrested at Gino's Drive Thru South and charged with underage purchase of alcoholic beverages after police say he attempted to buy beer.
Assault: A Canfield man reported someone assaulted him at Jillian's Entertainment in the Southern Park Mall. He had a scratch on his right hand.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 25-year-old Struthers woman in the 6300 block of South Avenue on a domestic-violence charge after a man alleged she assaulted him at his residence.
Criminal damage: A man reported seeing a vehicle deliberately drive across his front lawn in the 900 block of Larkridge Avenue, resulting in damage to 50 to 60 feet of the yard.
Theft: A 19-year-old man was arrested at his Cook Avenue residence on a charge of felony theft after a worker at Gino's Drive Thru South reported the business was the victim of employee theft.
