Diversity breakfast
YOUNGSTOWN -- U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Randolph Baxter will speak at the second annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 15 in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University.
The breakfast is co-sponsored by the YSU Student Diversity Council, Partners for Workplace Diversity and the YSU Foundation. Tickets are $10 per person and $80 per table.
Reservations for tables should be directed to the YSU Student Activities office. Individual tickets may be purchased at Bytes n Pieces in Kilcawley Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Jan. 13.
Adult computer lab
LIBERTY -- Liberty schools will have an adult computer lab for school district residents at the W.S. Guy Middle School, 4115 Shady Road, Room 205.
The lab will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays from Jan. 8 to March 18, except for Feb. 12. Those under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent. There will be about 45 minutes of formal instruction and individual assistance on Internet access, Word, Excel and Publisher.

Calling for ambulance
GIRARD -- Effective 11:30 p.m. Monday, the city will terminate its city-operated ambulance service. Residents who need an ambulance should dial 911 for the police department. Police will contact a private ambulance service. The city is attempting to contract with a private ambulance company to have a permanent facility in the city to house an ambulance.
