Air Force Reserve Technical Sgt. Scott W. Randall was promoted to his current rank while assigned as a C-130 Aircraft instructor/flight engineer at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga.
He is the son of Bruce A. Randall of Washington, Pa., and Sandra L. Laskarzenski of Jacksonville, Fla. His wife, Janet, is the daughter of Julian T. Nastal of New Castle, Pa. He is a 1989 graduate of Trinity High School, Washington, and a 2000 graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Fla.
ADVANCED TRAINING
Ammunition specialist
Army National Guard Pvt. Lisa J. Lindrose graduated from the ammunition specialist course at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala. Lindrose. She is the daughter of James W. and Linda Lindrose of Hermitage, Pa., and a 2003 graduate of Mercer, Pa., High School.
Earns Naval Aviator Wings
Ensign James C. Cataline earned his Naval Aviator Wings after graduating from Flight School at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla. Cataline was selected for jets and carrier aviation and is now stationed at Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island, Wash., training to fly the EA-6B Prowler. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and the son of George and Colleen Cataline of Canfield.
DEPLOYED
Doctor sent to Baghdad
Dr. Dave Yeropoli, a physician with the Department of Veteran Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Youngstown, has been deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Yeropoli, a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve Medical Corp, is attached to the 320th Military Police Battalion working in a correctional prison. Last year, Dr. Yeropoli served in Afghanistan, and the year before that in Kosovo.
Dr. Yeropoli, a 1966 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, graduated in 1972 from Youngstown State University and in 1985 from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He and his wife, Mari-Lee, originally from Howland, have a son, Tony, a Middlefield firefighter/medic who lives in Mentor. Mari-Lee is a registered nurse who teaches at the Trumbull County Career and Technical Center. Dr. Yeropoli's mother, Rose, and brother, Rocky, live in Campbell.
