Master gardeners honor volunteers

CANFIELD -- The Mahoning County Ohio State University Extension Master Gardeners met Dec. 11 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church for a holiday program and volunteer recognition.
Members shared a potluck dinner, and David Goerig, horticultural extension agent, presented a slide show titled "Master Gardeners in Action," depicting the group's activities throughout 2003.
Individual recognition went to the following people: Karen Santee, Dee Brown, Bonnie Twaddle, Ed Krecelic, Doris Puerner, Bessie Anderson, Barb Delisio, Barb Crook, Fred Michalski, Al Leonhart, Vicki Schutt and Lewis DiLallo.
The event ended with a gift exchange.
Members contributed nearly 1,500 hours of volunteer service this year.
