Family dinner held to observe Williamses' 50th

XLOWELLVILLE -- Mr. and Mrs. Dick Williams, 595 W. Walnut St., were guests of honor Aug. 29 during a family dinner at Opus Twenty One in Howland for the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosting the event were the honorees' daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Frank Nolfi of Poland, Marilyn Williams of Lowellville, and Shelley and Joe Listorti of Austintown.
The former Ange Deletis and Mr. Williams exchanged marriage vows during a ceremony Aug. 29, 1953, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church.
Mrs. Williams works in accounts payable at Youngstown Sheet and Tube.
Retiring in 1994, Mr. Williams worked for 41 years in education. He retired from Lowellville Local School District, where he was a teacher and head basketball coach. He is a lifetime member of Ohio Retired Teachers Association and the Mahoning Valley Retired Teachers Association, and also is a member of Curbstone Coaches Association and Baseball Oldtimers Association. Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1953 to 1955.
They are members of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Their family circle includes three grandchildren.
