XBOARDMAN -- First Covenant Church was the setting at 1 p.m. Aug. 1 as the Rev. Tom Sharkey solemnized the marriage of Cheryl Lynn Krieger, 4117 Shelby Road, and David George Wartenberg, 6405 W. Irma Lane, Glendale, Ariz.
The daughter of Mrs. Evy Krieger, also of 4117 Shelby Road, and the late William Krieger, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wartenberg, 7101 W. Beardsley, Glendale, Ariz., were honored afterward at a reception at Tippecanoe Country Club, Canfield.
The couple honeymooned in the Turks and Caicas islands and live in Glendale.
Prior to her marriage, the bride was employed by Multicare Management as a nursing-home administrator in Cleveland. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University. The groom is a captain-pilot with America West Airlines based in Phoenix.
Given in marriage by her brother and groomsman, Greg Krieger, the bride wore a sleeveless white organza ball gown embellished with embroidered lace.
Her honor attendant was Judy Smith of Canfield, and the bridesmaid was Barb Marks of Boardman, cousins of the bride. They wore blue gowns. Wearing white was the flower girl, McKenzie Reese of Boardman, and also participating was Lauren Ramsey of Poland.
The groom's father performed the duties of best man, and the ring bearer was Timmy Wartenberg of Glendale, the groom's son. Ushers were the bride's nephews, Michael and Patrick Krieger, both of Boardman.
