PREP SOCCER Fitch downs Perry; Irish win SVC match

South Range lost while Hubbard and Columbiana won in shutouts.
AUSTINTOWN -- Anthony Colaluca, Brian Haughey, Justin Finlen and Chris Frazzini each scored a goal Tuesday as the Fitch High soccer team upended Massillon Perry, 4-1.
Mike Savko, Mike Kachelrien and Finlen each had an assist. Goalkeeper Brent Sopko of the Falcons made 12 saves.
Ursuline 2, Warren Harding 1
STRUTHERS -- The Irish (1-2, 1-0 Steel Valley Conference), down 1-0, rallied in the second half.
Dan Craig scored a goal on an assist from Ryan Novotny. Novotny scored on an assist by Chris DePaola with 18 minutes remaining in the contest. Goalkeeper Dave Patrick made five saves.
Carney Antonio scored for the Raiders (3-1, 0-1) on an assist by Omar Omar. Keeper Anthony Nuzzi made 13 saves.
Heartland Christian 3, South Range 0
COLUMBIANA -- Mike Barborak scored two goals for Heartland Christian (1-0) while Jordan Uhl added the other. Blake Kozma and Uhl each had an assist for the Lions. Goalkeeper Cody Patterson made nine saves.
Hubbard 9, LaBrae 0
HUBBARD -- Chris Styn scored three goals for the Eagles (1-1) in the Trumbull Athletic Conference match. Josh Petrusko added two while Scott Northcott, Mark Sarisky, Anthony Tombo and Ray Urban each had one.
Styn had two assists while Petrusko, Northcott, Urban and Adam Novotny had one apiece. Hubbard had 35 shots on goal, compared to three for LaBrae.
Columbiana 6, East Palestine 0
COLUMBIANA -- Ken Wagenhouser scored five goals and Cory Lesson one for Crestview (1-0-1).
Lesson also had two assists and James Frost one.
Warren JFK 5, United 2
HANOVERTON -- Anthony Olive, Quinn Macali, Jeff Jenkins, Jack Weaver and Kyle Schinley scored for the Eagles (3-0).
Olive and Macali each had two assists. Ryan Wolnik had five saves for the Eagles. JFK had 26 shots on goal, compared to seven for the Golden Eagles (1-1). Shawn Timmons and Austin Dangler each scored for United, while Evan Egli made 21 saves.
Girls
CHAMPION -- Danielle Bafunno scored four goals as Champion High topped Liberty 8-1 in a girls Trumbull Athletic Conference soccer game.
Carlie Dawson and Brittany Bako each added two goals for the Golden Flashes. Gina Calderone and Lindsay Haines had two assists apiece for Champion (2-1, 2-0 TAC). Amy Banner scored a goal for the Leopards. Goalkeepers Brianna Hideg had seven saves and Amber Furlong had five.
West Branch 2, Niles 1
NILES -- McKenzie Wallace and Anina Beegle each scored a goal for the Warriors (3-0). Paige Stryffeler and Niki Brown had an assist apiece. Goalkeeper Carlie Poffenberger made 22 saves.
