ASSOCIATIONS
XGuilford Lake Civic Association will hold an open town-hall-type meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ruritan Park Pavilion, state Route 172, Guilford Lake. Commissioner Gary Williams will explain the proposed 911 emergency phone system, and Supt. Jerry Baker of Bycroft School and Workshop and John Gamble of the county auditor's office will explain the upcoming school levy that will be on the November ballot and how it will affect property taxes .

XMeetings of the Embroiderers Guild of America will be held at 10 a.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the IOOF Hall in Canfield with Colin Donohue presiding. XYoungstown Symphony Chorus will hold its annual picnic at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Beard Cabin in Boardman Township Park. Those attending are asked to take a casserole or dessert. Place settings and beverages will be provided. Don Megahan, director, will outline the concerts and repertoire for the coming season.
