HOUSTON (AP) -- Sheryl Swoopes scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half and the Houston Comets clinched their seventh straight playoff berth with a 52-47 win over the Seattle Storm on Tuesday night.
The Comets improved to 20-11 and moved within a game of Western Conference leader Los Angeles.
Lauren Jackson had 16 points and 15 rebounds for the Storm (16-15), fifth in the West and a game behind Minnesota and Sacramento. The top four teams in each conference make the playoffs.
