EILEEN MARTINEZELVIS COLON
XYOUNGSTOWN -- Eileen M. Martinez, 579 N. Loveless Ave., and Elvis S. Colon, 125 Jefferson St., were united in marriage during a 3 p.m. Aug. 10 ceremony at Youngstown Church of God. The Rev. Felipe Estrada officiated.
The daughter of Antonio and Nilda Ortiz, 133 S. Jackson St., and the son of the late Pablo Colon and the late Anna Elsa Sanchez of Puerto Rico, accepted congratulations during a reception at Mount Carmel Hall. They honeymooned in the Bahamas, and live in Campbell.
The bride's A-line satin gown was designed in an off-the-shoulder mode and was embellished with beaded lace accents.
Apple-red and silver gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Victoria Martinez, and the bridesmaids, Natalie Lopez; Emarilis Velasquez, her niece; and Rosalie DeJesus. Junior bridesmaids were the groom's nieces, Lisa and Mayra Espada. Flower girl was Yesenia Andujar, and Lydalia Torres was miniature bride.
The bride's brother, William DeJesus, was best man, and groomsmen were Jose and Benjamin Soto, her cousins, and Luis Mojica. Junior groomsmen were the groom's nephews, Angel and Roberto Santiago. Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Nicholas Mostella.
The bride, a health care associate at St. Elizabeth Health Center, graduated from Youngstown State University with an associate degree in medical assisting, and plans to continue her nursing education.
The groom is employed at the Auto Zone on Belmont Avenue.
