SENEQUA WHITEJASON RIVERS
XYOUNGSTOWN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a 3 p.m. ceremony June 28 at Mount Zion Baptist Church as Senequa R. White, 8129 Caliber Woods Drive, Raleigh, N.C., and Jason E. Rivers, 1704 E. 65th St., Cleveland, were united in marriage by the Rev. Jack W. Pettis.
A reception was held at the Maronite Center to honor the daughter of Christine White, 631 W. Delason Ave., and the son of the Rev. George and Renee Rivers of the Cleveland address.
After a wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple live in Raleigh.
The bride, who was escorted by Edward L. Long II, wore a halter-style white gown fashioned with lace appliques accenting the corset bodice, a keyhole back and an organza cathedral train.
Crimson-red gowns were worn the honor attendant, Lisa Evans, and the bridesmaids, Keisha Alston, Jada Freeman, Noel Long, Karen Todd and Ericca White. Flower girls were Miranda Brown and Byranna Young.
Raymond Fountain II served as the best man, and groomsmen were Rayshon Bacote, H. Keith Evans, Clyde Henderson II, Jason Shelton, Jeffrey Rivers and George Rivers. Ring bearer was Dwayne Sellers, and ushers were Adrian Alston, Edward L. Long III and Eric Long.
The bride, a credit analyst with Ford Motor Credit Co. in Raleigh, holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kent State University.
The groom graduated from KSU with a bachelor's degree in arts and science and is an assistant manager with Enterprise Rental Co. in Raleigh.
