FREDERICK HARRIS
Age: 59.Home: 1721 Robert Lane N.E.Employment: Warren director of public safety and service.Education: Warren G. Harding High School graduate; attended Garfield Senior College.Family: Wife, Ruby; son, Derrick; three grandchildren. Why seeking office: "Have lived in Warren my entire life and love the city. I know I can make a difference. I understand the many problems Warren will face in the next four years and have spent the last six years learning how the city operates."
PATRICIA K. LEON-GAMES
Age: 55.Home: 2380 Stewart Drive N.W.Employment: Volunteer for senior citizens; Warren treasurer from 1990 to 2001.Education: Warren G. Harding High School graduate; attended Youngstown State University.Family: Husband, Gary J.; sons, John, Scott and Michael; granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth.Why seeking office: "The citizens of Warren need to be served, not ruled. They should also have the right or ability to participate in the operations of their city."
MANUEL MICHELAKIS
Age: 63.Home: 800 Oak Knoll N.E.Employment: Retired director of water utilities.Education: High school graduate; water and management courses at University of Illinois.Family: Wife, Patrica; children, Gus, Monica Michelakis, Mandy Windland, Rodney, Ryan, Chad and Anrea Hathhorn.Why seeking office: "I feel I can do some good for the city of Warren."
JAMES L. NUTT
Age: 52.Home: 245 Bonnie Brae N.E.Employment: Retired firefighter; served seven months as interim chief.Education: Warren Western Reserve High School graduate; attended YSU.Family: Widowed; children, Colin, Maris, Ian and Ryne.Why seeking office: "I believe the course city officials have taken has overlooked certain segments. We need to make the city better by doing the basics."
MICHAEL J. O'BRIEN
Age: 47.Home: 1849 Edgewood N.E.Employment: Trumbull County commissioner since 1993.Education: Bachelor of science in criminal justice and associate degree from YSU; John F. Kennedy High School.Family: Wife, LouAnn; two sons, Michael and Dominic, and daughter, Kristen.Why seeking office: "I want to utilize my experence of 21 years of government in a positive direction for our city. To provide not only the essential services to the city [police, fire protection, street maintenance and parks to enjoy] but also to be proactive in the quest for additional streams of economic development projects to benefit our city."
