Traditional high tea to be served by Austintown Historical Society

AUSTINTOWN -- The Austintown Historical Society will hold its eighth annual high tea on May 3 and 4 at the Strock Stone House, a national historic landmark, at 7171 Mahoning Ave.
The public is invited to celebrate Mother's Day, birthdays or any special occasion at the event.
Seatings have been planned for noon, 2 and 4 p.m. The cost is $10 per person, and gift certificates are available. Reservations are required for each seating and can be made by calling (330) 792-3232.
The menu will feature a variety of coffees and teas, finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and other items traditionally served at a high tea. Tables will be covered with lace cloths and complimented with English bone china and silver serving pieces. Floral decorations and antique teapots, cups and saucers from around the world will be displayed on mantles and deep window wells.
The day will include free tours of Strock Stone House after each seating. There also will be a raffle each day for a basket containing a teapot, teas, a tea towel, place mats and various tea items. Raffle tickets will be a $1 each, five for $3, or 15 for $5. Winners need not be present for the drawings.
All proceeds will benefit Austintown Historical Society.
