After being subdued by police, woman faces multiple charges
SHARON, Pa. -- A Wallis Avenue woman is in jail and her boyfriend in the hospital after a fight between them at their home.
Police said Brandi E. Boulding, 27, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person and making terroristic threats.
She remained in Mercer County Jail today on $25,000 bond.
Her boyfriend, Richard Holmes, 39, was in satisfactory condition in Sharon Regional Health System after undergoing emergency surgery to repair a lacerated liver.
Police said the two got into a fight around 3:45 a.m. Saturday and that Boulding had two knives at one point. Holmes was able to wrestle one away from her but was bitten on the chest, arms and thigh in the process, police said.
Boulding then stabbed him once in the abdomen with the second knife, police said.
Police found one of the knives on the porch of their home, and the other was found alongside the house.
Boulding refused to surrender to police and had to be physically subdued with a chemical spray, police said.
