JENNIFER MERRIMANKENNETH SABOL
STRUTHERS -- A reception was held Aug. 24 at The Embassy in Youngstown in honor of Kenneth Sabol and his bride, the former Jennifer Merriman, who were united in marriage during a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Nicholas Church.
The Rev. Phillip Rogers presided for the daughter of Virginia Carpenter and James Merriman, both of Chester, W.Va., and the son of Patricia and George Sabol, 231 Helena Drive.
After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple live in Struthers.
A detachable chapel train added back interest to the bride's satin halter-style gown. It featured a trumpet skirt and was enhanced with Battenberg lace.
Raisin-colored gowns were worn by Treena Barnhart, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Lori Ditman, Beth Sabol, Jennifer Shirilla, Michelle Jakovina, Melissa Russell, Samantha Ditman, Lindsay Sabol and Amanda Ditman. Flower girls were Destiney Merriman and Jessica Ditman.
Dan Sabol served as best man, and groomsmen were Robert Ditman, Mike Shevetz, Paul Greco, Dave Jakovina, Michael Patrick, Gary Mudryk, Keith Galich and Dan Mamula. Ring bearer was Jason Sabol.
The bride is a billing clerk at Poland Family Practice.
The groom holds a bachelor's degree in education from Youngstown State University and is a firefighter with the city of Struthers.
