Foster parents groupplans Oktoberfest raffle
CANFIELD -- The Foster Parent Association of Mahoning County will raise funds to buy Christmas gifts for foster children by holding a raffle Sunday at the Oktoberfest in Boardman Park.
Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Among the prizes are a 27-inch color TV, an Aiwa 100-watt stereo and a DVD player.
The drawing will be Dec. 15.

Group schedules'Meet Valley' event
YOUNGSTOWN -- "Meet the Mahoning Valley," a program of Leadership Mahoning Valley, is an opportunity for relocated executives or professionals and their spouses to learn about the Valley with a small group of colleagues over a one-day period.
Participants will learn about important issues relevant to Trumbull and Mahoning counties and how those issues affect business and the community.
