VOLLEYBALL Mroski is MVP as Hubbard wins title, stays undefeated

The Eagles posted three wins in the Hubbard Volleyball Classic and now are 14-0.
HUBBARD -- Katy Jo Mroski was selected MVP of the Hubbard Volleyball Classic after the Eagles defeated Strongsville High, 15-3, 15-1, to win the championship.
Hubbard High (14-0), ranked second in Division II by Ohio's volleyball coaches, also defeated Salem 15-3, 15-7 and Southeast 15-0, 15-3.
On the day, Mroski had 35 kills, 13 blocks, 23 digs and four aces, while teammate Monika Rajkovicova had 21 kills, 10 blocks, 25 digs and four aces.
Strongsville defeated Mineral Ridge 15-7, 15-8 and Bishop Hartley 15-7, 15-8.
Salem defeated Hartley 15-5, 15-8 to finish in third place. The Quakers also defeated Avon Lake 15-8, 15-5.
Hartley defeated Boardman 15-7, 15-13. The Spartans defeated Avon Lake 15-12, 9-15, 15-1 and Mineral Ridge 15-4, 15-10 to finish in fifth place.
Southeast defeated Mineral Ridge 15-13, 15-6 to finish in seventh place.
Brookfield 15-15,Jackson Milton 3-7
BROOKFIELD -- Jessica Zebrowski had 13 points and nine digs and Katie Miller five kills and a block for Brookfield. For Jackson-Milton, Corey Velk had six points and Shauna Durig seven kills and seven digs.

BROOKFIELD -- Ashley Loutzenhiser had seven points and seven kills and Amanda Pernell seven kills for Jackson-Milton (6-5).
For Struthers (6-8), Nicole Robenolt had 13 digs and Stephanie Monus five kills.
Brookfield 15-15 Struthers 2-11
BROOKFIELD -- Katie Gessing had eight points and three kills and Jessica Zebrowski added six points, 10 kills and 14 digs for Brookfield (7-5).
United 15-15, Lordstown 4-13
HANOVERTON -- Ashley Bergman had 12 points and three aces and Jodi Miller nine points and two aces for United.
Amanda Kistler had five points, an ace, two kills and two blocks and Alycia Israel 10 assists and six digs for Lordstown. Christa Israel added seven kills and three digs.

HANOVERTON -- Julie Thompson had nine points, two aces and a kill and Janelle Beaver eight points, two aces, seven kills and seven blocks for Lordstown (8-3). Alycia Israel added seven points and 27 assists.
Tasheena Jones had nine points for Timken.
LaBrae 15-15, Ursuline 8-6
LEAVITTSBURG -- For LaBrae (6-9, 4-5), Amanda Gordon had nine points, five kills and two blocks, Maddie D'Orio and Julie Chester five kills apiece, Amber Dietelbach 13 assists, Linsey Gray five digs, Kellie Blazsek five digs and Kendra Needles four aces.
For Ursuline (5-6, 2-1), Jenna Kiraly had seven points, 13 assists and three aces, Lauren Reinhardt 10 kills and two blocks and Holly Lesko eight digs.
LaBrae 15-15, Badger 4-7
For LaBrae (6-9, 4-5), Amber Dietelbach had seven points and 12 assists, Kendra Needles seven points and three aces, Amanda Gordon 12 kills, two blocks and two digs and Julia Chester three aces.
For Badger (0-10), Katie Brainard had five points and two digs, Alison Palmer three points, Stephanie Tingler three assists, Ashley Anderson two assists and Jenna Bush three digs.
Ursuline 16-15, Badger 14-4
LEAVITTSBURG -- For Ursuline (6-6, 2-1), Jenna Kiraly had 12 points, 28 assists and four aces, Lauren Reinhardt 10 points, 10 kills and eight blocks, Candy Lawson five kills and Holly Lesko 10 digs.
For Badger (0-10), Katie Brainard had 13 points, eight aces and one kill, Jenna Bush seven points, Stephanie Tingler two assists and Danielle Hippley one block.
