Women's books
The New Book Group/Women in Print will select books by or about women at a meeting on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. at Barnes & amp; Noble at the Shops at Boardman Park.
Shaffer to sign book
Dale E. Shaffer will sign copies of his book, "Salem: A Quaker City History" at Barnes & amp; Noble at the Shops at Boardman Park Sept. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. The book documents the town's unique story of the past 200 years.
Children's author
Nancy Carlson, author of children's books, will sign copies of her books on Sept. 20 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Book Nook in the Elm Road Plaza in Warren. She will also be guest speaker for the NOLA workshop Sept. 21.
Author to appear
Julie Clark Robinson of Hudson, will sign copies of her book Sept. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Book Nook in the Elm Road Plaza in Warren. She is contributor to a new book called "A Cup of Comfort For Women."
Cleveland authorpens another volume
John Stark Bellamy of Cleveland has written a book called "Killer in the Attic," a collection of 26 gruesome tales of Cleveland woe. They are true accounts of crime and disaster Bellamy has researched from local history and put down in writing. The book is published by Gray & amp; Company of Cleveland and costs $13.95. Topics in the book include:
UThe Cuyahoga River scow disaster, where 16 clinging, drowning men fought so desperately to stay afloat, they dragged each other to the bottom.
UA worker buried alive in the concrete that went on to become Terminal Tower.
