NHL ROUNDUP Tuesday's games

Blackhawks 3, Blue Jackets 2
CHICAGO -- Tyler Arnason deflected in Alexander Karpovtsev's shot from the point with 6.2 seconds remaining in the third period. Arnason got the game-winner after Alex Zhamnov won a faceoff in the Columbus zone. Steve Sullivan also scored for Chicago and assisted on Lyle Odelein's goal. Jocelyn Thibault stopped 20 shots for his 200th NHL win. Jaroslav Spacek and Espen Knutsen scored for Columbus, winless on the road this season at 0-3. Marc Denis made 19 saves. Spacek opened the scoring 3:01 into the first period on a high screened shot from the top of the slot. Arnason beat Denis from 30 feet with 2:07 to go in the first but the goal was disallowed because Chicago's Kyle Calder interfered with the Columbus goalie. Odelein tied it 1-1 at 3:20 of the second, also on a screened shot from the top of the slot, after Sullivan won a faceoff in the Columbus zone. Knutsen restored the Blue Jackets' lead just 1:10 later. He lofted a shot over Thibault's shoulder after a Blackhawks turnover in their own zone. Sullivan tied it at 2 with 5:48 remaining in the second. He picked up a rebound of his own shot, stickhandled through traffic in the crease and beat Denis with a backhander.

The Thrashers lost their ninth straight to begin the season. Los Angeles lost leading scorer Jason Allison early in the game. He was helped from the ice with a sprained right knee and will have an MRI today.
