2 men allege they were beaten at strip club

AUSTINTOWN -- Police are investigating a report that two Trumbull County men were beaten with a baseball bat early today by a bouncer outside The Babylon on Javit Court.
One of the men, 26, of Cortland, told police he was involved in an argument with club employees about paying for his food at about 1:45 a.m. He said that he and his friend were then forced out of the strip club. Once outside, the bouncer hit the man in the leg and shoulder with a baseball bat. The man's friend, 27, also of Cortland, said he was hit in the back with the bat.
The two men said they then ran to a nearby gas station and called police.
Club employees and management told police they knew there had been a confrontation in the club, but they were unaware of the beating. Police could not find the bouncer accused of hitting the men.
The 26-year-old man later checked himself into Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.
