Van Fossan to marketSelect Brands products
YOUNGSTOWN -- Select Brands of Kansas City has chosen Van Fossan & amp; Associates of Youngstown as its marketing communications agency to spearhead the launch of two national kitchen appliance products under the Kitchen Selectives brand name.
VFA will provide Select Brands with public relations, marketing and creative services for the initial launch and throughout the consumer introduction of the two products, which will be unveiled at a trade show in January.
Loans availablefor drought losses
YOUNGSTOWN -- Low-interest disaster loans are available from the U.S. Small Business Administration for small nonfarm businesses in Ohio that are agriculture-related and have experienced losses from the drought that began March 1. UAW accepts contractwith International
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Navistar International Corp. said Sunday that members of the United Auto Workers agreed to a five-year labor agreement with International Truck and Engine Corp., its main subsidiary.
The deal involves 7,100 workers for International, including about 2,300 employees at International's plant in Springfield. Employees will receive bonuses of 3 percent of their earnings in the first, second and fourth years of the contract. The base wage rate of $17.05 an hour for current employees will be increased by 3 percent in the third and fifth years of the contract.
