Scouting report: Last week, Westminster defeated Thiel, 13-10, while Grove City lost to Waynesburg, 30-24. Junior OG Glenn Silvidi (Hubbard) was selected Offensive Titan of the Week, while senior DT Erick Pabis was Defensive Titan of the Week and freshman RB Sean Buggey Special Teams Titan of the Week. Silvidi led an outstanding blocking effort that paved the way for sophomore TB Scott Froelich to rush for his seventh straight 100-yard game. Pabis had 14 tackles and three assists, including six tackles for minus-20 yards and two sacks. Pabis also was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Buggey ran back four kicks for 122 yards, including a 61-yard return to set up the Titans' winning TD after Thiel had taken a 10-6 lead. In Grove City's loss, QB Todd Smargiasso (Wilmington) was 10-of-19, including two for TDs, to Bo Danton and Mark Byrer. Steve Roberts also scored on a run, while Mike Prloletti, Gene Ianuzzi and Rocco Milano each had a pass interception.

Scouting report: Mount Union beat John Carroll, 35-16, while Capital rolled past Heidelberg, 52-13. Junior TE Randall Knapp of Mount Union had career-highs of six pass catches and two TDs for 85 receiving yards, before a Mount Union Stadium record crowd of 8,072. The previous record was 7,132 set on Oct. 8, 1999, when the Purple Raiders set the NCAA record for consecutive wins (68).

Scouting report: Thiel lost to Westminster, 13-10, while Bethany lost to Washington & amp; Jefferson, 37-28. W & amp;J clinched at leat a share of the PAC title. Thiel had a 10-6 lead over Westminster after sophomore Paul Stibich kicked a 42-yard field goal and junior Justin Napotnik (Sharpsville) scored on a 24-yard dash. Napotnik rushed for 89 yards in 17 carries. Senior LB Dante Darby had 12 tackles for the Tomcats. Sophomore QB Daryl Moore was injured on the final play of the first half, and replaced by freshman Tom McIntire.
