ASSOCIATIONS
XMill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will celebrate its 40th anniversary Nov. 12 at the Italian-American Veterans Centre, 115 S. Meridian Road. A social hour at 6 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 6:30. Cost is $20, and entree choices are roast beef, baked white fish and chicken marsala. XTri-County Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Saxon Club, Meridian Road, Austintown. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and a program on crafty creations at 7 will be followed by a business session. Members are to take a large, old greeting card, scissors, pencil and ruler. XYoungstown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet Nov. 2 at the Poland Public Library. The business meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a program at 11. Kathe Mayer, a resource speaker for AAUW, will speak on "The Power of One Vote." Members of the Warren and Boardman branches of the AAUW will be guests.

AUXILIARIES
XFlora MacDonald Auxiliary will meet for a Dutch-treat luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at Davidson's Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road.
XMahoning County Council Auxiliary to the VFW will meet Nov. 7 at the VFW Post, 1351 Albert St., Youngstown. Members should take nonperishable items for the Youngstown VA Clinic. Reservations for the Christmas party, planned for Dec. 5 at VFW Post 2799 in New Springfield, should be made with treasurer Julie Carter.

XAmerican Hungarian Club, Donald Avenue, Youngstown, will hold a business meeting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the clubhouse. Members will discuss the chicken paprikash dinner to be held Nov. 3.
XPoland Women's Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Mahoning County Historical Society, 648 Wick Ave., Youngstown. The topic will be "Women in History in Mahoning County and Beyond." Hostess will be Beth Lowe, and co-hostesses will be Cathy Morrison and Sandra Smith.

XPenn-Ohio Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild will meet at 9:45 a.m. Nov. 2 at New Castle Public Library, 207 E. North St., New Castle, Pa. The annual Christmas party will be held Dec. 7; installation of officers will take place.
