Senior health fair set
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority will have a senior health fair from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Norton Manor on Springdale Avenue.
More than a dozen health-related and preventative health organizations will have displays.
Luncheon for seniors
LOWELLVILLE -- The sixth annual Lowellville Senior Citizens Day, sponsored by Consumers Ohio Water Co. and village officials, will be at the Educational Center, 231 E. Wood St. Originally, the event was to be at Mount Carmel Hall. The luncheon is slated for 1 p.m. Nov. 1.
Door prizes will include a television, wristwatches, lottery tickets and gift certificates. Tickets are free and are available at Lowellville Village Hall through Friday.
Fire Prevention Day
YOUNGSTOWN -- A Fire Prevention Day open house will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at No. 1 fire station downtown on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Participants include the Youngstown Fire Department rope rescue team, arson bureau, a St. Elizabeth Health Center mobile unit, YFD historian, Mahoning County Sheriff's Department, Mahoning Valley Safe Kids Coalition and more. Fire prevention and safety tips will be presented.
