Lakeview spikers are eliminated

JEFFERSON -- Notre Dame Cathedral Latin defeated Lakeview 15-13, 15-9 Tuesday in a Division II district semifinal volleyball match.
The second-seeded Bulldogs (18-6) were led by Tina Pinter with five points, two aces and six digs, while Megan Taylor had 13 assists and nine kills. Also with nine kills for Lakeview was Whitney Keyser.
NDCL (15-5) will meet Mentor Lake Catholic for the district title Saturday at 2 p.m.
Mentor Lake Catholic, the top seed, knocked off third-seeded Jefferson, 18-16, 15-7.
