SCOPE Howland Senior Center, 9273 High St. N.E., Warren, activities are as follows: ABC luncheon planned from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday. Lil Joe will entertain. Gifts will be given to those celebrating birthdays or anniversaries in September and October. Reservations are requested. The cost is $3.50 in advance and $4 at the door. A Halloween bingo bash is planned from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30. The event will include a talk by Bonnie Summers titled "Why Did I Say That?", a buffet lunch and progressive bingo game that will start at 12:45. Reservations are required. Advance tickets are $3.50 and at the door, $4. Weekly events at the center are: Monday, art class from 10:30 a.m. to noon with instructor Pearl Mullens; Tuesday, strength training from 10 to 11 a.m. at a cost of $4 to instructor Mark Pringle, bridge or pinochle lessons from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and bingo from 1 to 3 p.m.; Thursday, line dancing from 3 to 5 p.m.; and Friday, strength training from 9 to 10 a.m. at a cost of $4 to instructor Mark Pringle, line dancing from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and square dance lessons for $3 from 2 to 3:30.
