The park is open 24 hours a day through the year, but temporary road closures are common in the winter. The park has two campgrounds and a lodge. There is a $20 per vehicle fee for entry.

The park is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the summer, with shorter hours the rest of the year. Visitors centers can be closed on federal holidays. The park has three campgrounds and one lodge. Entry is $20 per vehicle, or $10 per pedestrian/bicycle. There is a separate fee for tunnel escorts for oversize vehicles.
Capitol Reef National Park information is available at (435) 425-3791 ext. 111, or at www.nps.gov/care/index.htm on the Web. The entry fee is $5 per vehicle. The park is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily year-round, with extended hours in the summer.
