Espresso: Coffee prepared in a special machine from finely ground coffee beans, through which steam under high pressure is forced. Best with arabica beans that have been roasted dark.
Cappuccino: Espresso coffee mixed with steamed, frothed milk and often garnished with cinnamon or powdered chocolate.
Latte: A strong espresso coffee mixed with warmed but not steaming milk.
Ristretto: Espresso made one ounce at a time, which keeps it flavorful and avoids dilution.
Mocha: Cappuccino mixed with chocolate syrup or powder. It can be frothed with chocolate milk.
Frappe: Made with cold espresso, sugar, water and ice cubes and served in a tall glass with ice and a straw with a thick froth on top.
